How Does GPS Tracking Work For Your Vehicles?

Our system works with GNSS and the local cellular network. In this blog we give a short explanation how it works.

GPS stands for Global Positioning System and is actually one of the worlds Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). We use a GNSS receiver for the location tracking in our system. This means we can use GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, and QZSS for a more precise and faster determining of your assets location.

Here is a video of how GPS works

With the precise GPS Tracking location data of you asset we can determine a lot of other valuable information like; if the asset is moving and at what speed, operation hours so we can determine work hours for example, and much much more.

The location data is stored on the device, encrypted and then send thru a cellular network (Digicel for example) to our secure servers. We use special M2M or IoT SIM cards with global coverage. And depending on the needs and availability on 2G, 3G or 4G networks.
From there the data is further processed into Axxon Tracking's Fleet Management Solution and available as real-time info, summaries, and actionable reports.

With Axxon Tracking you have simple, yet powerful tools to effectively monitor and manage your vehicles, temperatures, and other assets.
