The trackers rely on GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) to receive their positioning information like, coordinates, heading, velocity, and altitude.

This data is then being encrypted and sent over the 2G/3G cellular network to our secure servers. The data is then available in the system as an easy to understand dashboard with real-time info, summaries, and actionable reports.

Our GPS Trackers are directly connected to the power supply of the vehicle. With that information you also know the voltage of the battery, so you know when the vehicle is off, on, or even when the battery is about to fail (and get an alert!). As a backup, the tracking devices have an internal battery.

There are more than 30 different types of reports available in the system. The most commonly used reports are "Routes", "Work Times", and "Object Visits".

Most fleet managers are interested in:

  • Idle times; is the vehicle standing still with the engine turned on?
  • Overspeeding incidents
  • Route deviations: are the drivers staying on their delivery route?

Batteries are included in the purchase of every wireless sensor. Under normal operating conditions a sensor with a 1 hour heartbeat in your standard wireless sensor network will last up to 10 years.

Yes, our wireless temperature sensors can be ISO certified and NIST traceable.

The wireless temperature sensors can be provided with a Traceable Calibration Certification which meets the requirements and complies with ISO 17025 and ISO 9000 standards. The Traceable Certificate indicates that the product is traceable to standards provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a U.S. Government agency within the Commerce Department.

A Traceable Certificate includes all of the information to meet today's stringent accreditation demands, government specifications, and ISO 9000 requirements. This information includes serial number, certificate number, model number, calibration test equipment, equipment serial number, equipment calibration due date, unit accuracy, uncertainty, unit test conditions, test points, individual unit's specific test date, unit's next calibration due date, tester's name, and signature of the metrology manager.

Our wireless products use Encrypt-RF bank level security, featuring a 256-bit exchange to establish a global unique key, and an AES-128 CTR for all data messages. So security is maintained at all communication points from sensor to gateway, gateway to software, and back again.

Our standard wireless products use several features to help protect sensor data in transit. Our sensor protocol uses very low transmit power and requires specialized radio equipment to operate. Typical wireless devices that operate on non-proprietary communication protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee) operate using different frequency bands so they can't be used to eavesdrop on the radio communications from our family of sensors. In addition we use a robust packet tampering evaluation routine to ensure that traffic wasn't altered between the sensors and the gateways. This enables us to check for well-formed data packets that only originated from our enabled devices. To further protect data we have algorithms that protect against spoofing and re-transmission of wireless data packets. This is included with the best in class range and power consumption protocol developed for our wireless sensor systems.

Wireless sensors transmit their data using wireless radios, and as such are subject to the same environmental limitations found in all wireless communications. Elements that affect radio transmission are severe inclement weather, trees, heavily constructed walls (cement, cinder block), sheet metal, wall board, wood, tile, buildings, vehicles, etc. Unless you have direct line of sight, every obstruction impedes wireless transmissions, even the human body.

In short, there are four factors to keep in mind for the health of your wireless sensor network and maintaining its peak performance:

  • distance from sensor-to-sensor and the wireless gateway
  • power output of the radio
  • data rate transmission
  • frequency of the radio link

Yes, you may expand your network as needed, up to 100 sensors per wireless gateway. You can add an unlimited number of wireless gateways, so you are not limited to the amount of wireless sensors you can have on your account.

Each time the sensor transmits data to our online sensor monitoring system it reports the battery power as well. Notifications can be set to alert you by email or text message, when a sensor's battery is about to expire.

Our dash cams have 2 cameras, a road-facing and an in-cabin camera. Both are capable of recording video in 1080p Full-HD resolution.

All the footage is stored locally on an industrial grade SD card and will overwrite the oldest recorded footage when full. On average a week’s worth of footage is stored locally. All the full length footage is therefore available if needed.
Critical AI identified footage is uploaded automatically to the cloud and available for review in the system. No need for the fleet manager to go through hours of footage, but instead scroll through the most important footage easily. These video clips are stored for one month in the system.

Referral Program

All referrals must be submitted through the Referral Program. Before submitting a referral or anyone's personal information to Axxon, be sure you have the person's permission to do so. If you later find out you did not have such permission, please inform us as soon as possible. For more information about Axxon's processing of personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

To be eligible for a referral reward:

  • Have the referral submitted through the Referral Program;
  • Be referred by a current Axxon customer by the time of purchase (i.e. you have a login to a Axxon dashboard account with a valid, paid license);
  • Not be prohibited by your employer from receiving the reward;
  • Be over 18 years old;
  • Friends must be referred before they are engaged with the Axxon sales team;

The referred friend must have at least 2 vehicles in their fleet and purchase at least 2 devices in order to be eligible.

For referrals submitted in 2021, both the current referring customer and new customer will receive an Amazon gift card up to $1,000 depending on the number of new devices and other contract terms.

You will each be sent an email to choose your reward 30 days after the referred customer makes an eligible purchase. Monetary rewards are sent out via email in the form of an Amazon gift card.

Referrals are paid out between 30-60 days after the colleague you referred makes a qualifying purchase.

All potentially eligible referrals are reviewed at the beginning of each month. If your referral is approved for a reward, we will reach out via email and request that you confirm your email address before sending you a link to claim your referral reward via digital gift card.

There are a number of reasons a referral may have been disqualified, including:

  • Your referred colleague did not purchase a qualifying number of units
  • Your referred colleague has not yet hit the 30 day post-purchase threshold

If you believe your referral was mistakenly disqualified, please email us. Axxon has sole discretion to determine whether to grant a referral reward.

No, individuals may not refer themselves. Referrals are reviewed when the referred account is 30 days post-purchase, and rewards are sent within 60 days of a qualifying purchase. This offer is subject to cancellation at any time.
