Lovers Global prevents vehicle misuse and boosts routing and dispatch efficiency
Founded in 1977, Lovers has become the leading producer and distributor in
Curaçao of Ice, Ice Cream, Juices, Milk, Yoghurt, and Bottled Water products
with exports to Aruba, Bonaire, and Miami, FL.
Lovers have a workforce of 130 employees, combined office, plant, and storage facilities with a total area of 4,199 m2, a distribution fleet of 24 trucks, 300 freezers and coolers in the market, and 750 active clients.
The Challenge - No Verifiable Data
"Even though our drivers have a daily distribution route, some of them were not visiting all of our clients. This caused them to run out of supplies, which resulted in unhappy clients."
Tyrone Sporkslede, Distribution Manager
The Solution - Install GPS Trackers
Axxon Tracking installed GPS Trackers in all of Lovers’ trucks in order to track the current location and route history of all trucks. Lovers also used powerful reports to see how often each client was visited, and when.
The Outcome - Saving Costs
The vehicle misuse was easily identified and could be stopped immediately. Saving huge amounts of otherwise wasted fuel and manpower. Lovers saw a decline in accidents, contributing to driver and fleet safety improvements. Customer service and sales improved greatly with clients being supplied and serviced on a tight schedule, getting more done in a workday.
"When planning an extra delivery I needed to contact the drivers to find out their location. Now I just look at the dashboard and contact the driver closest to the client immediately, saving time, and making my job easier."
Tyrone Sporkslede, Distribution Manager
Axxon Tracking provides key insights and is at the heart of Lovers Global’s distribution operations.
